Lake Kashiba (meaning ‘Small Lake’) is a sunken lake whose real depth still remains a mystery because no one has ever reached the bottom from the deepest point- earning itself the name 'the Scuba diver’s nightmare'! Some attempts have been made (though on the shallower sides) with some experts estimating it to be about 3.5 hectares (8.6 acres) in area and about 100 meters (330ft) deep. Lake Kashiba is a must visit for all those visiting the Copperbelt.
